There really is no typical day in the Honduras Youth For Christ ministry. We have learned that it is good to have a plan, but we have also learned you must be flexible with that plan because sometimes God opens a door to share the Gospel when we least expect it and we can not afford to miss that opportunity. Within the course of the week, however, there are some constant activities;

At least one prayer meeting,
One planning meeting for the future
Visit one school
Hold one youth meeting.

 In all of these situations, as in many others, we are always looking for  opportunities to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have not heard it.
This is a life- long ministry. The most important goal- day in and day out- is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then watch it take hold in the youth who hear it. When Mauricio and Ana see youngsters come to the YFC house and become part of this "family", then, years later, see  those teen  grow up
To be mature, responsible, Christians they have a sense of fulfillment that keeps them pressing toward to goal.

The Youth For Christ Ministry is all about sharing the Gospel. God has blessed Mauricio with the supernatural gift of evangelism. His heart is open to studying and understanding the word …. and God uses him is a supernatural way to share the message of salvation. In the natural realm God has given Mauricio the ability to teach God's word with whatever material is available, The Honduras Youth For Christ ministry certainly does not have access to a big budget or high-tech teaching tools. The lessons of this ministry are taught with whatever is available whether its a piece of paper, a wallet or a photo, there is always a way to share the message. He also has an amazing connection with young people. They can see he is not judgmental and does not act as if he is superior. He has the ability to relate to them right where they are…and that is another great gift.

Mauricio and Ana are the core of the Youth For Christ Ministry in Honduras. There are several people who work part- time on administrative duties and as we discussed earlier, dozens of volunteers who help out on a per-event basis.

The office works with dozens of organizations, churches and schools  from
the U-S who send short and long-term  missionaries to this part of Central
America.
As for what God has supplied,  He continues to place the right people with the rights skills in the ministry to help Mauricio and Ana. Many times when all seems lost on a project, someone shows up who can help them get things done. Whether those people supply a specific talent or skill, financial support, moral support or prayer, God never abandons them in the middle of a project they are doing for Him. He has been incredibly faithful to them… and they to him.
